There are two types of business travelers in this world: those who wear their blazers on the plane and those who opt to pack it in their luggage.
There is no right or wrong choice. In fact, the entire decision is a lose-lose scenario – either you spend your flight in some varying degree of discomfort or you show up to your meeting looking like a wrinkled mess.
With the new blazer from Bluffworks, now crowdfunding on Kickstarter, travelers (and non-travelers) can get the best of both worlds.
Bluffwork’s blazer has the look and feel of wool, but thanks to its 100% polyester construction it is both wrinkle-free and machine washable.
In creating the blazer, Bluffworks founder Stefan Loble (who had already raised over $250,000 on Kickstarter for his line of similarly awesome pants) wanted something he “didn’t have to baby.” So once he had a prototype in hand, he beat the hell out of it to make sure it stood up to those standards.
After wearing it non-stop during a summer trip through France, Loble decided to take his favorite new blazer for a leisurely swim in a river. After getting it soaked, he wrung it out, hung it up, and wore it again the next day.
But the Bluffworks blazer isn’t just wrinkle-and-hassle-free. It’s also functional. The jacket touts 10 usable pockets including a zippered right chest pocket, a back security pocket for your passport and/or other valuables, and two large hip pockets that are big enough to fit an iPad mini.
Best of all, you don’t have to wait for a “buy three, get one free” sale to get your hands on this blazer at an affordable price. With a $245 pledge, Kickstarter backers can get their own Bluffworks Blazer in January in the size (36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48), fit (slim or classic), and color (navy or charcoal) of their choosing.
